I tried a new cake recipe this weekend from a GBBO book bought a couple of years ago. I usually make very basic cakes – 40z of butter,sugar, flour and two eggs. This recipe was in grams which I have never really got to grips with and used 4 eggs. It is however very light and chocolatey and the quick fudge icing is delicious. Another time I would make double the icing so there is more to fill the cake .
I also managed to track down a Mollie Makes magazine – none of my local newsagents stock it! Can’t wait to start making pompoms!
